Yoga begins with your breath…

Many people use only a small portion of their lungs to breathe, and their minds are usually busy thinking about the future or the past. Yoga helps focus the mind on the present—the only moment we can control.

In my classes you will explore and improve your mind/body connection. We will gently work on opening up our physical body with a series of postures, called Asanas, to build strength, balance, flexibility, and focus.

We will pay attention to how things feel on the inside, instead of how we look on the outside. I will encourage you not to compete or compare but instead to use your breath and focus to gently explore what you can do.

To close your practice, I will guide you toward our final relaxation: Savasana. Once your body has softened and surrendered, I will invite you to close your eyes, come into the moment, and settle into long slow breaths, in through your nose and out through your nose. Namasté.
